St Marks Passion

For Tenor and Bass soloists, SATB choir (few divisions) and organ, duration 20 minutes

The Passion was premiered by The Southwell Minster Chorale on Palm Sunday 2012, and is composed as an alternative to the well-known Wood and Sanders settings. The tenor soloist narrates, while the Bass soloist takes Christ’s words. The chorus take all the other parts, and interpolates brief verses of a hymn. The piece would suit any church or cathedral choir.
